About the speaker:
Dr. William Lainhart is an Assistant Professor of Pathology at the University of Arizona, and the Medical Director of Clinical and Molecular Microbiology at the Banner-University Medical Center Tucson. Dr. Lainhart received his PhD in Biomedical Sciences from the University at Albany (SUNY) and the Wadsworth Center (New York State Department of Health). After receiving his PhD, Dr. Lainhart worked as a postdoctoral research fellow at the Wadsworth Center in the Public Health Microbiology and Virology laboratories. Following his postdoctoral work, Dr. Lainhart completed a 2-year Clinical and Public Health Microbiology Fellowship at Washington University School of Medicine in St. Louis, and is now board-certified.

This University of Arizona event is sponsored by the Division of Infectious Diseases, Department of Medicine, UA College of Medicine - Tucson. It is open to the public, community physicians, and other interested healthcare professionals.
