Abstract

OBJECTIVE: To examine abortion access for patients navigating care across the United States and Mexico border.

METHODS: This oral presentation discussed cross-border abortion access, including logistical, legal, clinical, and patient-care considerations affecting people seeking abortion services.

RESULTS: The presentation highlighted barriers patients may face when seeking abortion care across borders, including differences in law, availability of services, travel requirements, and access to accurate information.

CONCLUSION: Cross-border abortion access requires attention to legal context, patient safety, clinical coordination, and health equity. Understanding these barriers can help clinicians and advocates better support patients seeking reproductive healthcare.
